I just wanted to wish all you mothers out there a very Happy Mother's Day! I am in awe of you and are always learning from you. Thanks for what you do, and remember that it's the most important thing you could ever do!
I've never tried the pie with home-canned peaches but I'm sure it would work and even make it more delicious. It's probably a recipe you could include your kids on, too, at least the older one. Just cut the peaches before the kids come around. That knife gets slippery. Joyschool wouldn't be quite the same without other moms/kids, but you could certainly still use the curriculum and it would still be a lot of fun. Each lesson contains a lot of fun stories, songs, and art/creativity activities that the kids absolutely adore and I would never have the courage/creativity to do such things on my own volition. Our group has sort of fallen apart recently due to several unexpected circumstances, but we still use the ideas from the lessons a lot. Hope that helped. Oh, and I hope your Mother's Day was wonderful.
There's Dad and Mom and Noah, age 5, and Clara, age 2
About This Blog
I discovered almost instantly as a new parent, as almost all parents do, that parenting is a learn as you go kind of thing. This blog is all about me and how I'm learning to be a better teacher to my kids. It's also about me discovering who I am as a mother. I do not profess to be an expert in child rearing, by any means. I have lots to learn, so that's why I'm counting on lots of help from my readers. I welcome all to my blog, especially your comments and suggestions. Thanks for visiting my humble little corner on cyber-space.
